Installation Grants...
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) programme provides grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies in a range of buildings to include households, community organisations, public, private and the non-profit sectors.
Householders
Householders can apply for grants of up to £2,500 per property towards the cost of installing a certified product by a certified installer. PowerNaturally is a MCS accredited installer. In 2008 we qualified for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation. You can read more about this accreditation here.
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme householder stream relaunched in May 2007 and will now be committing funds until April 2011. MCS underpins the Low Carbon Buildings Programme, and grants will be available to applicants using both products and installers certified under MCS schemes.
PowerNaturally can help you with your grant application. You need to have decided on your technology, (eg solar or heat pump) selected a certified installer, and have a quote before you apply. You must apply and have a grant offer before commencing installation.
Public Sector
Grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies are available to public sector buildings (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies under the phase 2 programme.
From 1 July 2009
- A further £45M has been allocated to extend the grants programme until April 2011.
- The programme will be open to all products and installer companies registered on the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
- The extended programme will continue to provide grant funding to charitable organisations, community groups and the public sector.
- The upper limit for heat technologies will be raised to 300kW.
- Organisations may apply for up to 50% of the cost of installing approved technologies up to a maximum of £200,000 (though maximum grant levels may depend on the nature of the organisation).
