How it Works ...

The air handling unit draws air across the water-anti freeze solution and transfers this energy into the refrigerant. The refrigerant boils and the gases from this are compressed to produce temperatures in excess of 100°C. This part of the process mirrors a ground source heat pump

Hot Water & Heating

With an air source heat pump there is no need to dig, drill or have a large plot of land. Instead, the energy is collected directly from the surrounding air using an externally located air module. This can be located up to 30 meters from the outside of the building and is then linked to a heat pump unit which is located indoors for maximum efficiency.

Air Source Heat Pumps

Air Source Heat Pumps transfer energy from the air to provide heating and hot water.

Air Source Heat Pumps can be used in many more applications including large commercial projects where land space is restricted.

For large or commercial applications two or more units can be easily linked together.

Ecodan ASHP Units

In some applications it may be appropriate to couple an Air Source Heat Pump with traditional heating technology e.g. gas or oil fired boilers. Air source heat pumps require minimal maintenance with an effective life of 20 years plus.
